Job Description

As a Bill Pay Specialist, you are a top-notch process manager. You work alongside clients and client teams, maintaining excellent communication among team members and your clients, in the execution of work such as:

  • Managing the downloading and payment of our clients’ invoices
  • Communicate with clients and Matter teammates
  • Keep an accurate record of client accounts and outstanding balances
  • Monitoring cash balances
  • Securely handle client data and payment information
  • Generation of budgeting reports
  • Provide regular, accurate reports of billing data
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Create custom financial reports
  • Research and resolve discrepancies
  • Assisting with various projects and firm-related initiatives

Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication and listening skills
  • Ability to think critically and use logic & reasoning skills to analyze alternative solutions and outcomes.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in finance or accounting or at least 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper, Accounts Payable, or similar role
  • Thorough working knowledge and experience with Quicken, Quickbooks, Billpay.com or similar technology required
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Familiar with CRM, and data storage/management tools preferred
  • Ability to quickly understand and gain knowledge of new technology tools
  • Understanding the importance of security policies and ability to recognize and proactively report suspicious activity

This position could be eligible for part-time; minimum of 30 hours per week.
